2 Maccabees

One of the books of the Bible considered apocryphal by Jerome-supporting Protestants and Deuterocanonical by Augustine-supporting Roman Catholics.

Comprises a rhetorical summary of a considerably larger work on the subject of the Maccabean era. It is more theologically oriented than 1 Maccabees. It contains several chronological errors along with other actual contradictions.
